Our most luxurious ritual: scalp massage, neck, shoulder, arm and hand massage, a hydrating lip mask, a mini facial (without extractions), scalp oiling, aromatherapy and water halo therapy. Pair it with LAVA TOX for a detox that feels like a true escape.

How Often Should You Detox Your Scalp?
For most clients, a professional scalp detox every 4 to 6 weeks helps keep buildup in check. If you work out daily, swim often or use a lot of product, you may enjoy coming in more often. How much does a scalp detox cost at LAVA Head Spa?
LAVA TOX, our scalp detox, is an add-on you can include with any service, and you can select it on our booking page. Our 60-minute head spa services are $195 for the LAVA Experience and $205 for LAVA Remedy or LAVA Restore.
Can a scalp detox help with dandruff or an itchy scalp?
Our treatments are designed to deeply cleanse, remove buildup and restore balance, which helps relieve the flakiness and itchiness that buildup can cause. LAVA Remedy is designed specifically for these concerns. It is not a medical treatment, so for persistent or severe symptoms, please see a dermatologist.
How often should I get a scalp detox?
Every 4 to 6 weeks works well for most clients. Frequent swimmers, daily gym-goers and heavy product users may enjoy coming in more often. We will recommend a schedule after your scalp analysis.
Do I need to wash my hair before my appointment?
No need to wash your hair before your appointment. Our cleansing rituals will do the work. Please arrive 15 minutes early to unwind. Free self-parking behind and beside the building.
Can I get a scalp detox with hair extensions?
We don't offer head spa treatments while extensions are in, because deep cleansing can weaken bonds, loosen tape or cause tangling. Many clients book their head spa during their extension maintenance, when the extensions are out.
